Last week I spoke in a debate in Parliament on the pressures facing Oxfordshire’s health services.  The biggest issue facing us locally is the continued closure of Wantage Community Hospital. It originally closed in April 2016, for justifiable reasons.

Meeting on A34 Diversion Routes

Ed met with representatives from Oxfordshire County Council and Highways England today to discuss ways to mitigate the impact of A34 diversions on our villages.

Meeting with Earth Trust

Ed and John Howell MP met with the Earth Trust today to discuss the campaign to ensure a vital link road between Oxford and Milton Keynes does not impact important local environmental sites.

Visit to Aureus School

Ed visited Aureus School today for a tour and a meeting with the headteacher.

Aureus School is a brand new, state of the art comprehensive 11-16 school that opened in Great Western Park, Didcot, in September 2017.

Oxfordshire Rail

Last week I attended a meeting in Parliament on rail in Oxfordshire. It was a useful gathering of all the key stakeholders – Great Western, Chiltern, Network Rail, local councils and MPs.
