Ed Vaizey MP (Wantage and Didcot) met with the Minister of State for Care Caroline Dinenage MP on Monday to discuss Wantage Hospital and healthcare provision in South Oxfordshire.

Ed very much enjoyed being interviewed by students of Abingdon and Witney Collage.  They are producing a documentary about the possible impact of Brexit on young people in our local area.

Ed Opens Cedar Community Club

Ed was delighted to officially open Cedar Community Club in Hinton Waldrist.  This is a new day-care club which provides a comfortable, safe and stimulating space where the elderly from surrounding villages can meet twice a week.


Ed Visits Mission Motorsport

Ed meets Lou Patten from OCCG

Ed met with Lou Patten Chief Executive Officer of Oxfordshire CCG in Westminster to discuss healthcare in Wantage, Didcot and Wallingford.  Lou updated Ed on progress at the Health Centre in Wantage and on the future of the community hospital.  Plans for Didcot and Wallingford were also discussed

Queen's Commonwealth Canopy

Ed was delighted to plant an oak tree as part of the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy, a woodlands trust project.  Thank you to the Sylva Foundation and its CEO Gabriel Hemery for making this possible. 

Didcot First meeting

Ed joined local businesses, residents and representatives of South and Vale District Councils at a meeting of Didcot First to discuss plans for Didcot Garden Town.  He also heard updates about the local economy and from local community groups.

Ed attends A420 meeting

Ed attended a useful meeting with Parish Councils along the A420 to discuss improvements to road safety.  The issues of air quality and noise pollution were also raised.
