Milton House Hotel is now under new ownership and Ed visited today to meet the new general manager. A key local emplpoyer, the hotel is now planning imporvments at the former location of WHSmith.

Visit to Skoob Books

Ed visited Skoob Books in Didcot today and met with founder Chris Edwards. Based in London and Didcot and home to almost a million books, Skoob Books is one of the UK’s largest second hand book stores, and supplies most books seen in the background of films.

Visit to Rosalind Franklin Institute site

Ed visited the site of the planned Rosalind Franklin Institute in Harwell on Friday. When completed, it will be a national institute, dedicated to bringing about transformative changes in life science through interdisciplinary research and technology development. 

Be Free Young Carers

Ed visited Be Free Young Carers in Harwell on Friday. Be Free Young Carers are a local charity supporting young carers in Oxfordshire.

Ed said 'Wonderful to visit this amazing charity doing so much locally to support children who care for their relatives'.

NHS 70th Birthday

Ed visited John Radcliffe Hospital on Friday to celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS. There were celebrations across all Oxford University Hospitals and around the country, which you can read more about here.
