During Education questions in Parliament this week, the MP for Wantage and Didcot, Ed Vaizey, praised UTC Oxfordshire, based in Didcot, for their role in providing children across Oxfordshire with a first class technical education. He also invited the Minister of State for Schools, Nick Gibb MP, to visit the school in the coming months.
University Technical College Oxfordshire allows 14-18 year olds from across the region to undertake a unique learning experience that will prepare them for specialist careers in science and engineering. The UTC opened last year, and is based in a brand new, state of the art facility in Didcot, near the science and engineering clusters of South Oxfordshire. The curriculum combines core academic subjects with the opportunity to study and gain practical experience in their specialist areas.
